RV Service Technician

Position Overview:

-Executes work orders while diagnosing and repairing recreational vehicle equipment and structures while determining best product for repair

Essential Job Functions

Individuals with good mechanical ability to diagnose and repair RV accessories and/or body damage for RVs.
Provides diagnostic, repair or replacement services to customers.
Keeps track of parts and materials used in repair or replacement activities.
Performs related troubleshooting tasks based on skill level
Monitors operation of newly installed equipment
Has working knowledge of Heating, Plumbing and Electrical 110/12 volt systems.
Skilled in woodworking, metal and fiberglass repair procedures.
Ability to pass RVIA Training class and achieve certification.
Automotive power plant and generator systems knowledge

Requirements

Good written and oral communication skills
Basic mathematical ability
Must have own tools
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
Maintains a safe work area for customers and coworkers

GENERATOR REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Status: Regular/Full Time

JOB DESCRIPTION: Rebuilds, repairs and maintains Generator equipment, applying knowledge of machine repair and industrial electrics. Inspects machine and observes operation to detect cause of malfunction. Disassembles machine, using hand tools. Selects replacement parts lists and catalogs, or repairs parts. Sets up and starts repaired machine to verify operation. Custom installation’s of generators in Recreational Vehicles

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Perform major and minor repair of generator and associated equipment utilizing vendor technical manuals and wiring schematics.

Refurbish equipment? tear down, inspect, repair, clean and paint.

Communicate by phone and in person with vendors, customers, sales staff, store managers and others, providing information on cost, repair times, etc.

Maintain maintenance log to document time and supplies to accurately bill customers.

Perform research to inquiries as necessary.

-Practice good shopkeeping, i.e. keeping work areas clean and hazard-free.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiar with Onan and Generac Generators an asset

Some knowledge of mechanics and electricity.

Ability to read and comprehend vendor repair manual instructions.

Ability to perform very heavy work -- routinely lift 25-75 lbs., occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.

Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion also required.

Ability to perform work during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling and finger activities.

Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

Must be able to work occasional overtime, if necessary.

RV BODY, PAINT, & COLLISION TECHNICIAN

Repair any major or minor defects to the body of an RV including major collision damage
Individuals with good mechanical ability to diagnose and repair RV accessories and body
Must have experience with paint and body repair equipment
Must be able to customize and repair RV in accordance with work orders
Provides diagnostic, repair, or replacement services for customer
Maintains a safe work area for customers and co-workers
Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned and performs duties at company established performance levels
